2010 ReVisions Art Show - Call for Art
The Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association is calling for art for the Third Annual ReVisions Art Show. This is a chance for local artists to display current art and speak about local culture and community. The inspiration behind ReVisions is the necessity for artists to re-think, re-use, and re-purpose the way materials from everyday life create a unique and metaphorical vision of sustainability and community resilience. How do immediately available resources in our community allow for creation, and foster meaning and relationships? How does community show us ways of relating and being that give us a deeper sense of connection and permanence? ReVisions is about offering commentary on place, environment, community and life. We enlist your inspiration to consciously re-vise the way we go about our everyday lives; to live more in balance with nature and to sustain life. We recognize that there is an interconnectedness that once realized and honored, completely effects the way we manage our daily choices: where we live, what we live in, how we get our food, the way we travel, how we communicate, and how we spend our time. This is a call for you to share your visions of your local tribe, your collective community and how it shelters and sustains you. Application for art submission and instructions can be found at: https://www.callforentry.org/ or www.sustainablelivingfair.org. All art must be submitted by the last day of April. The show will run May 1st through 14th at ReSource; culminating with a live auction May 15 at the Armory. There is no community without interaction. Through participation, we broaden and strengthen our community. Please participate!
