Naturally Crafted

In this one-day seminar, participants will learn the basics of Weaving on a Rigid Heddle (two harness) loom.  We will plan a project, measure the warp on a warping board, sley the reed, dress the loom and weave the project.  Students will learn how to remove the project from the loom and finishing techniques and washing procedures.  They will leave the class with a finished llama or alpaca garment.  All equipment, looms, llama and alpaca fibers and hand-outs will be provided by the instructor.  Seminar is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is for anyone 12 years of age or older.  Participants should bring their own snacks, beverages, lunch, pencils, notebook, etc.
