EAT LOCAL – GROW LOCAL – REUSE LOCAL – is all about eating and growing nutritious, local foods – healthy for you & your ecosystem and also reducing your environmental impact through creative reuse.
So join us! Meet our farmers, beekeepers, up-cyclers, our cheese artisans and composters. Be sure to learn more through attending one of our Grow Local or Eat Local workshops presented in our workshop section of the Fair.

Enter to WIN one of our local food contests:
- Ugly but Edible Vegetable – Enter your ugly rutabaga.
- Colossal Organic Vegetable – Miracle-Gro? Who needs Miracle-Gro?
- Beautiful Heirloom Veggie – Heirlooms sing with tradition and taste – let’s taste yours.
- Jams Jellies and More – All canned and preserved foods welcomed.
- Cheese and Milk products – Any dairy product from any dairy animal – goat – cow – bison?
- Best nest of Five Eggs – Show off your hens and their nuggets in an artistic nest of five.
- Salsa – Our favorite condiment….used on everything from eggs to burgers.
- Pie – any variety.
- Vermicompost – bring us a handful of black gold.
Also, NEW this year - Re-Creations – re-use some product and make it new, useful and/or beautiful. Your imagination is welcome.
- Please submit all non-perishable items between 10am and 2pm on Saturday of the Fair. All perishable items (pies and salsas, cheese and milk) can be submitted between 10am and 11am on Sunday. Winners will be announced on the Main Stage starting at 11am on Sunday. The Old Thyme Contest Tent is located near the Main Stage. Please stop by and check-out the entries. All entries will be judged on ingredients, taste & appearance by our judges. Winners take home bragging rights, artistic ribbons, and discounted subscription to Orion Magazine.
