River Clean Up
Celebrate Earth Day – Help us keep the Poudre River clean and beautiful!

We’re excited to share that Earth Day Fort Collins will be hosted at Odell Brewing Company, creating a vibrant, welcoming space for our community to come together in celebration of sustainability and climate action. Odell Brewing has long been a leader in environmental stewardship, making them a natural partner and an ideal setting for a free, family-friendly event that brings together education, hands-on activities, youth engagement, and local solutions.
This year also marks an exciting expansion of our impact through our new partnerships with Odells and the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed. Together, we’re elevating the importance of river health and watershed protection, connecting community members with meaningful, action-oriented opportunities to care for one of Northern Colorado’s most vital natural resources.

Schedule of Events

The Bug Zoo is where curiosity about the natural world comes alive! Developed by CSU entomologists and educators, the Bug Zoo brings the fascinating world of insects and arthropods into community learning spaces.
Designed for learners of all ages, the Bug Zoo fosters scientific literacy, environmental stewardship, and respect for all living things.
The Bug Zoo gives kids and adults alike the opportunity to interact and engage with arthropods. The zoo is home to over 30 species of arachnids, insects, and other arthropods.

The Poudre Wilderness Volunteers will be at Earth Day. They assist in managing and protecting wilderness and backcountry areas and will have opportunities to learn about Leave No Trace.
Leave No Trace is a program that helps young people learn how responsible actions can help protect the outdoors and our planet. The initiative is shaped and inspired by the rich diversity of young people and their communities that have found joy, discovery, and learning through nature.

Inspired by Earthday.org’s My Future My Voice Youth Ambassador program, we are asking local youths to express their visions and desires for the future.
Why? Because we believe that creative expression raises awareness and can help us dream the world we want, and help us remember our interconnection to each other and all life.
And because we believe that beauty, creativity, interaction, and collaboration are necessary to create a world where we all not only survive but thrive, and that youth voices are crucial to help motivate and inspire the action we need.
We invite all students between the ages of 11–18 to submit short stories, essays, poems or artwork. The winners in each category will have an opportunity to share their work on the main stage at Earth Day Fort Collins. All submissions are due by noon on Thursday, April 3rd.
Earth Day Fort Collins will feature live music and performances by local bands and artists, adding energy and celebration to the day. Showcasing local talent helps create a lively, welcoming atmosphere while highlighting the creativity and culture of our community—all in support of sustainability and environmental action.
